In our brief 2 years' of study with Sifu, we learn strength amidst calmness and calmness amidst strength. Sifu's instructions are very clear and is incredibly patient in making sure we learn the correct techniques and forms. His instructions help train our body and mind and re-shape our way of looking at the world.

Tak and I have been under Sifu's instructions for 3-4 years.
Throughout these years, our body structure gradually changes. We feel more flexibility, more endurance and more energy. We are less exhausted during the day. Our mind clears up quickly in reaction to analyzing details and making decisions.
Physically, we can grab hold of objects tenaciously. We can stand and sit tall, by holding our central axis, pressing down our shoulders, holding our Dantian, and pulling down our spine. This helps our age-old shoulder, neck and lower back problems. They have been cured, due to opposite-directional pulling.
These neck and back issues made reading and working very difficult in the past and we thank Sifu for helping us.
Sifu takes us through from the most basic training to higher levels. He explains the principles behind each movement very clearly. He also explains the connections between the lower-body and upper-body movements so that we integrate and practice hard with rounds of repetitions. He corrects our mistakes and ensures we learn from them week by week.
Learning Taichi from Sifu differs from other academic and work disciplines. It's multi-tasking, listening, mental focus, trials and errors, integrating and measuring against your own expectations. It's also about how hard and how deep you want to achieve. It is like an incomplete task - there is always room for improvement.
